Subject: [alt-beam] wierd...

today while building a robot base, i made a motor
driver from a couple of stacked '245s... i hooked up
the outputs to some modified servos, and then hooked
up the Enable pin to Gnd and the Dir pin to positive,
and planned on using two AAA batts to test the inputs
(ie drive the motors)... but when i put my hand close
to the wires, it buzzed at me, and when my finger
touched just one wire, it took off for a couple
seconds, slowed, and stopped... why? it was strange,
because the battery leads never touched the input
things. it made no difference which of the 4 leads i
touched, it would run a random motor a random
direction for a random duration... was this cause of
static? i dunno.

I don't think the firewall I'm behind permits me using IRC. I've had no
experience with IRC, so would this be a likely cause for nothing
happening?

Cheers,

Thomas

I like that! I live in southeastern Georgia, which would make for a closer
trip for me.
