Yep, you have to use low leakage fet input opamps, especially if you use
LEDs for photocells together with small low leakage caps. I would change the
circuit slightly as shown in the attached to improve efficiency (kind of
important with solar engines). With 5V(min) you can easily drive the mosfet
gates. Not yet tested but uses fewer components, lower forward voltage. Note
the 0.001 caps are used with the clear LED type (low sensitivity)
photodiodes for filtering and snappy positive feedback. Exact cap values to
be determined empirically.

7861 Sat, 20 Nov 1999 16:30:12 -0800 [alt-beam] BEAM CHAT ON DALnet "beam list" "Rik" Hey Guys ...

i have #beamrobotics registered on DALnet .... maybe we can do chats
there??

you can log on thru any IRC program (mIRC,pIRCH,etc)
and you can even register your nicknames..so nobody else can have them!
..all for free!!

the command to register your nick once logged onto irc (dalnet connection)
is:

/NickServ REGISTER put password here

im working on setting up a memo service for the channel too .... so we can
leave msg's for eachother.

if you dont wanna download an irc program ... you can also chat via
java --on dalnets homepage
www.dalnet.com

i dont wanna step on anyones toes ... i know a few others have tried to
start up a chat thing .... but i figured since i had the name registerd
already ...and there has been a few ppl in talking thruout the week ...i
just thought i let you all know.

i set this up to talk to my out of state friends about beam stuff ....and to
swap files..etc..cause waiting for sundays was just killing me! :)

anyway .... im usually there ... if ya wanna talk BEAM
