Yes havoc is definitely a lot more stable than widow. That was the idea
of flipping the motors - however I learned from doing this that you can
have to much stability! I'm still experimenting with the configuration
but since getting these things to walk appears to be about harnessing
the instability and allowing the centre of gravity to fall from the back
feet to the front at the critical moment - having an over stable
platform can make things tricky.

Widow the top heavy robot has a much more defined stride than havoc.
Havoc tends to skate around forming forward motion on average.

Keep in mind that only 2 or 3 people managed to pop in on these chats in the
past months...

don't know the solution. Dave H knows it... search the archives, and
pray Dave will respond :)

But, if the exact components work on breadboard, but not on pcb:
1 - You're killing components while sodlering
2 - PCB is bad

MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN YOUR PCB VERY WELL!!
Get a knife and scrape little pathways between traces to make sure there
is no conductance between them whatsoever. Re-check the pcb three times,
since it's backwards it makes tings confusing! Re-make a pcb, start all
the way over, and forget about the old pcb.

That's what I had to do with my photopopper. Just work it. Th ebig thing
is things conducting that shouldn't. My pot was touching something, that
was the only problem. Go back to the schematic and check eveything. :)

There. :)
