Where are you guys (in the U.S.) ordering your MC34164
voltage triggers from?

Thanks for any info...

either use:

a) clear LEDs. These can be any actual colour (I tried red) but have a
clear lens. These put out up to a volt in sunlight.

b) yellow LEDs. These put out a fair bit less than clear LEDs, but still
work. Just ask Alf! You have to be pretty tricky to discriminate against
such small voltages with yellow LEDs, but it will work.

Green LEDs as you discovered just don't put out enough juice.

Good luck!

Ben

7770 Wed, 17 Nov 1999 00:03:46 GMT [alt-beam] SPLIT BICORE POWER beam@sgiblab.sgi.com "Mike Kulesza"
Can i run 5V to the 240 through a 7805 volateg regulator, and supply the
full 9V to the h-bridge?

that will keep the chip safe, and increase the motor power
