How about this...
most appliances have power cords. Many of these hang down near the
ground
behind the appliance. A small enough bot may be able to get behind the
appliance and use a coil to collect power from the E-field around the
cords.
this in turn could be rectified, an regulated to provide power to
recharge
a battery or cap.
A note of caution here.
We are talking about voltages tha could be potentially DANGEROUS
