I like your idea of feeding on the net by induction. Has anyone ever thought of
other than solar energy sources for beam. Think about it; insects get their
energy and food from: the sun, plants and other animals. I don't see any way we
can have or bots generate their own power out of some material that is common in
our society. But we could have them feed on each other or on bigger (electric)
organisms. Like parasites.
What other energy wastes does or society produce ?
- All sorts of electromagnetic waves (this includes your induction idea)
- Artificial temperature differences like fridges, ovens, ...
- Vibrations: fridges, generators, ...
- ...

I don't know if any of these energy sources could actually lead to feasible
designs. If they did the bots would be tied to their energy source (reduced
mobility).

Any thoughts on this ???
