Aside from the tiny tinge of revenge, Jim is right!

"Just a higher voltage SE" was my first reaction too but it trivializes the
importance of small changes that can dramatically alter behaviour. This is
called the "butterfly effect" and just in case that sounds like a whimsical
idea, think again: It is a deep concept at the root of control and chaos
theory AND is all around us: insignificant causes with profound effects. So
now I think "Truth is the Chloroplast is an SE with an extra resistor, more
hysteresis, higher voltage and what a remarkable difference that made". So
what if you add a resistor to a 1381, eh? Unfortunately, I don't have any
1381s or I would be telling you the answer to that question

(anyone else try this?)

enjoy

I am currently looking for free or demo software programs that allow
schematic entry and mixed-signal (analog & digital in the same
schematic) simulation. The search is going slow, since I have to
download and figure out how to use the software first, so I am wondering
if any of you have a favorite program you use for this sort of thing.

Thanks,

Victor
