mod worm looked really kool, you can call this a vote
if you wish, I am not really familiar with the LEM or
diskrat...

be a walker??? hehe! it could, but salt trails
wouldnt work too well unless the bot dragged its feet
alot! I would have said just photopopper circuitry,
but that would eliminate all walkers, as well as
bicore and other stuff which deserve to be in the
contest as well! Don't worry, the rules are kinda
vague for a reason.

7448 Sun, 7 Nov 1999 17:34:59 -0800 (PST) [alt-beam] servo info beam@sgiblab.sgi.com Evan Dudzik
does anyone have a good explanation of how a HOBBY
servo can be driven with a circuit? I read it takes a
50hz (maybe it was khz) signal to the signal wire,
power and ground to the others... the question is, do
you alter the frequency to make it only go partway, or
does it just turn as long as the signal and power are
there (in other words, stop the signal when it reaches
the halfway point) if it is this method, how do you
make the thing go the other way? reverse the power and
ground? This is just because christmas is coming, and
I have a clone of genghis (a bot from MIT) in mind,
all i need is servos for xmas, and someone to help me
out with my question! thanks...
