Hey Jason! :)
Well, do they need to follow a preset path? Cuz I'm making a vacuum bot
for my tile kitchen (A real vacuum mind you! :) and I decided that if I
just had it kinda go randomly around than in the five hours it cleans it
must get prety much everywhere. To give it power it's got a battery
(REally?!). The deal is is it comes on at night (The charger tells it
when to go). The charger has a night light on it. The bot goes around,
using ir to aviod walls etc... and when it's batteries get a bit low it
starts seeking light (ON the charger) and the kitchen is cleaned without
me ever knowing it.

Makes sense? Good! :)

to bulding robots on it?

cleaner drain the battery even faster?

7382 Thu, 04 Nov 1999 22:27:05 -0700 [alt-beam] Re: Cleaner Robots beam@sgiblab.sgi.com Senior Well it's actually a large computer power supply fan set up as avacuum
wtih a little bag to catch things in. What I meant was that it's not a
broom or a paper towel picking up dust and stuff. But it does have one
heck of a battery (For it's size): 12V 1.8AH (It'll power 4 pager motors
for roughly 5 days without stopping)

Happy Beaming Oh! And how does it relate to BEAM? Well, mine uses
anolog Nu Neurons on the tactile sensors, a flip flop for some memory,
and a higher-archial architecture. Something like that. It's analog. ;)

Ummm, not really in depth but I think there are a few shot them building or
something. What sucks was that I got most of the awards for the team and I
wasn't even mentioned. Only one very quick shot of me. But I guess that
wasn't the focus of the video. Also they have a cool shot of one of my
RoboFlys in the beginning. Has a bunch of special effects on it.
