Subject: [alt-beam] ultrasonic transducers?

i just got one of those matched pairs of ultrasonic
trandsucers from jameco, i have seen them on other
people's bots before... only one question... which one
is transmitter, which one is reciever? is there a
difference? one has a black plastic bottom with 40T
printed on it in white, the other has a metal bottom
which one lead is soldered to, with CTD and TAIWAN
printed... where the other lead goes thru you can see
the black plastic cover under the metal one... i just
need to know which is which. thanks for your help.

I guess if one end of the string is connected right onto the glass and the
other end is connected to the bot on a point farthest away from the window.
Gravity would pull the robot towards the window. Although the "bot" isn't
trying to get to the window "it" is being pulled towards the window. Trying
to get through it. =)
