7069 Mon, 25 Oct 1999 17:38:52 -0500 [alt-beam] Laser pointers "beam@sgiblab.sgi.com" Brad Guillot i am hopefully going to set up a laser pointer on my solar head bot that
will "point"at the brightest source of light.(on a different se to save
power)
before i do this i need to know if the light will affect the
photoresistors, i'd try it myself but i don't have any.
the laser doenen't seem to affect the photodiodes on either of my
photopoppers, but i realize the case may be diferent on the
photoresistors.

if no one knows than thanks anyway, when they come in the mail i'll try
it out for myself.

P.S. for those keeping track i belive this is question #3

detector (beam of light, not BEAM!) so that when someone breaks the beam,
the circuit knows about it.

But the laser only affects the LDRs when it is actually shining ONTO the
LDR - if the LDR and the laser are mounted on the head, then you shouldn't
have any problems.
