Subject: [alt-beam] Re: Testing On the BreadBoard with out cell-how do i ....

Well ... i tried that ...... and had no luck ..... i built and rebuilt ..
let one sit on the board for like 20min ..and nothing ....then i hooked up 2
"AA" batteries (3v) and Viola!! .. got it working ... sits for a bit ..then
ZOOM! .. pop goes the motor.

i actually built 2 of them ... with all the exact same pieces .. im using a
1381-j SE and one of them pops regularly..while the other pops 1 or 2
times..then seems to sit for quite a while ... is this normal? (to sit for
long periods?...or to act different from another one ??)
i'll have to do a bit more testing when my cells arrive .... i didn't do
anything to screw up my components did I ??? .....

thanks for all the help!! ... i can't believe the first SE i built actually
worked!!! ... bots will be posted soon!!!!

-An AA running thru a 470 ohm resistor will simulate a solarcell quite
-effectively...
