Thanks Chris,

In a Bicore walker both motors are turning at the same time In a microcore
walker only one motor is turning at a time.
If you look at a video of a Bicore walker you would notice that the legs are
moving continuously with the front legs just changing direction when the
rear ones are in the middle of their rotation. The microcore walker rotates
the front legs in one direction eg CW then stops while the rear leg turns
(CCW) which then stop while the front reverses rotation (CCW) and stops
while the rear legs rotate in the other direction (CW). From the point of
view of efficiency , since the bicore motors are on all the time they will
supply more useful work compared to the microcore motors which are on only
half the time.

Unlike Mark Tilden and others, I don't have a lot of experience with
mechanical BEAM design and with the exception of the linear wheel and the
crawler, I have only contributed bits and pieces of info on that subject.

regards
