you are 100 percent right (f= 1/2 Kx^2) K is spring constant in N/m and x is
distance. I was trying to say that they have a more constant force than a
stop does, althought the force is not constant make sense? anyway I tend to
get a nice smooth motion out of a spring instead of a stop

I'm new to BEAM, and I having some problem constructing a walker using
standard 4 Nv microcore ( 7414) with ( 'auto' ? ) PNC...
The problem is: the motor didn't start running immediately. Not until I
touch one of the Nv's input to the Vee, and then it will start to run
perfectly. What is wrong ? I have tried both the 74139 or 74245 motor
driver and I've got same result... I've also tried to built the microcore
twice with the same result. Is it because of the PNC ? or is it not enough
current from the power supply? I used two aaa size batery ( about 2,8 v)..
Please, anyone, help me...
thanks,
Ivan
