Subject: [alt-beam] Re: Diferences in Mark T walker(Material)

by the way everyone and esspecially dave.....do u know what mark uses to
construct his walker's leg....i mean the material....it is like so solid and
hard to bend...wonder why he uses it...and for all of u who are already
expert in walkers....could u tell me how is the best way to shape a walker's
leg....the technique and stuff....and how do i fine tune it by playing with
the values(dont understand this)....thanks a lot

output voltage of more then 5v, the wave form can be just about anything...im
looking to drive a piezo buzzer if your wondering
thanks

Hey Dave,
so what are the eyes for?turning towards light...and what do u mean by
one to just even out the symetry.....I would also like to know why they
arent any mechanical stops in his walker anymore...did he figure out a way
to do it electronically which u dont want to tell us? and when are u going
to put the videos dave please....we are eager to see the two motor walkers
turn...so the beginners here can get a better chance in learning at a lower
cost because they dont need to buy so many gearmotors.......thanks a lot

p/s:what tips do u have for beginners......for the first timer in building
walkers....another thing is do u experiment a lot....like the whole time
trying to figure out the resistor and cap value of your four motor walker or
other bots....just would like to know a hint what the experts been doing to
get better results....maybe u can tell us more how u come up with better
bots to give us more inspiration to experiment...thanks again

yours sincerely
jason

well u are very very wrong chris..i have already built 4 walkers....i even
have the several picture of one of them which uses the Bc1 board i made my
self...in the photo gallery in the yahoo club under evenflow88...i would
just like to learn more to fine tune the performance and get more
inspiration from the experts u know.....

--=====================_939199404==_

i can't decide wether or not to do the PSHead V2
or the PS Head V3. (probably the version 3, since i
have a few 74HCT240's around)

on your v2 head schematic, attached here,
(originally posted to the group on Sept.7)
I don't see any big 'ol woppin Capacitor to be charge by
the solar cell. Surly NOT meant to be run directly wired to the
solar power source?
I'm sure I'm missing something common knowledge here like,
the big cap is attached to = & - from power source directly,
but if so, what SIZE Cap should I use?
AND:
have you decided wether Photo Diodes or Photo resistors werk better?
(say diodes, since thats what i have!)
Thanx!

A bicore will work. Just use a 5K pot as the resister and set it to....

T = RC
so
R = T/C

.001 / .00000022 = 4.5K (4545.45454545)

Thats half a cycle....

4.5K / 2 = 2.2K (2272.727273)

So just hook up a multimeter to the pot and set the value to
(2272.727273). The best thing is to use a ociliscope because the
capacitors arn't exactly .22uF.

Think I got that all right.
