the Dung Beetle robot kits from Edmund Scientific! I called the catalog
order number, and had them put me though to the retail store to order the
kit.

I only mention this here because it is an extremely cool bot in the way it
chases and plays with a large plastic ball. Neat use of an IR
transmitter/receiver pair. I can imagine BEAM bots using a similar method
to track and move objects in a RJP.

Oh well, if anyone is interested I've posted the box front and back (with
excellent diagrams of the robot's operation) on my BEAM RoboGallery page at:

http://www.geocities.com/ResearchTriangle/6608/Bots/beambots.html

The final cost with shipping was around $40.00 US. The kit itself took me
about 20 minutes to put together, and required no soldering.
