Subject: [alt-beam] thanks and sense of humor
That was cool thanks for the response Wilf, nice how most beamers have a
good sense of humor, good to see
anyway I had forgotten that the latest scoutwalker kit uses 5 bicores to
drive the servos, 1 bicore for the heartbeat then two master slave pairs,
masters are slaved to the heartbeat. Makes for an interesting walker rather
chaotic too.
on this 3 motor walker im constructing the master is the waist motor the
first slave is the front motor and the last is the back motor. the reverser
reverses the front and back motors, yes I know I could just reverse the
waist motor, but since its the master reversing it would make little
difference.
Note: gumby legs don't work that well on walkers that are agressive enofe to
deform them
an ok substitute for springs is elastics, but they don't last as long
as for me Wilf I will be able to legally drink in a bar (in alberta) a month
before Y2K
