Hello Scott,

Tell us more: what components? which schematic? what motor? matched LDRs?

best regards

I, too are participating in the "Head Fest" (sounds dirty to me for some re=
ason...). I didn't have a 74AC04, but located a vendor, but I forget the n=
ame. I'll get it to you all monday when I get back to work (Thank God for =
bookmarks!).

I used a 74HC14, because that's all I had to use. I had to use 3.3M resist=
ors, .01uf caps, and a 1M pot because of a lack of parts. I used a pair of=
Dave's 1/8" Pd's. Since I was at work and didn't have a suitable motor, I=
just used LED's. Needless to say, it didn't work out as it should, but it=
was interesting nonetheless. I never got it to settle into a single opera=
ting state. Sometimes it would work right, i.e. the LED would light when t=
he corresponding Pd was shaded and the power would drop to less than 600mV =
in even light. Other times, it would oscillate, but the left LED's on stat=
e was twice the On state of the right. Other times, it would oscillate eve=
nly. I went to the Radddio Schreck and got some more parts to use with my=
'HC240. I'm planning on trying a 'HC245, too, just for grits and shiggles=
. Should be a fun weekend!
