Subject: [alt-beam] Re: success and problems with solarengine
I always tend to use the cassette player tape ones in my bots, the vcr
and cdrom motors probably arent working cause they require more energy
than can be provided by a solarengine. that is the only reason i can
come up with as to why they arent working.

Dear Beamers,
does anyone know where i might find a pic online of a completed 4
neuron microcore. I jsut want a picture of it now schematic, free
formed, so i can try and use it as a model. I have been in BEAM for
about 7 a year now and cant seem to figure out how to build a 4 neuron
microcore. call me an idiot, but i just cant seem to get one done.
thanks

5971 Mon, 6 Sep 1999 13:29:41 +0100 [alt-beam] newcomer 4 neuron microicore feedback ?? alt-beam@eGroups.com James G Watt Hi all. First off I'm new to beam robotics and electronics in general
but having seen some beam robots on the tv and the net I thought I'd
have a go.
I've built myself a 4 neuron microcore on a breadboard (and a freeform
version) and I thought it was performing correctly. The microcore uses a
74hc14 and I'm using a 74als245 to drive my motors. It all appears to be
firing correctly except that as far as I can tell there's absolutely NO
feedback changing the behaviour of the microcore what so ever. I was
under the impression that the timing was supposed to vary depending on
the load on the motors? Did I misunderstand something because my circuit
appears to run as regular as a metronome no matter what load is attached
to it?
Anyone know what's up?

I don't really think that's it, because when I start it after
discharging the

don't seem to achieve reset.
Oh well, thanks anyway.
