Subject: [alt-beam] New Guy Questions

Hello list
I have a few questions i would like to get anserwed that are proballly
redundant and stupid for the advanced builders.

1.when driving hobby servoes on a 2 mortor 4 leged walker, which is
better to use, a 74xx245 or an h-bridge? i ask because 3 245's wound
drive a servo @3v. This is my main concern, to get it walking and then
add all the things to make it a robot.

2. Sorry to be general, but could anyone explain/ give a good site in
how to incorperate a head into a walker for reversing and turning?

Thanks for all of your help, it will be very much appricated.

Evening all,

I put together a little BiCORE 'bot this evening that my daughter named Wig=
glebot. It's nothing new, but it's kinda neat. I used three pager motors =
(two left over from Smiley and a third in the rear)in a tripod configuratio=
n. The Right and Left motors are wired to only go forward while the rear t=
urns toward light (+phototropic head). The left motor fires as the rear mo=
tor fires ccw, turning the 'bot clockwise, then the right motor fires as th=
e rear motor fires cw, turning the 'bot counterclockwise. The circuit is a=
regular 74hct240 BiCORE with two extra motors. I'm using three 3V watch b=
atteries for power. I'll get pix up as soon as I get time. I'll spend som=
e time observing it's behavior as time permits, but i need about three or f=
our hours in a day to get to it soon! ;)
