Quick question, Wilf. Is that a piezo audio transducer, or a piezo
buzzer? Reason I ask, I was helping Sparky debug his circuit and in the
process we discovered that A) the circuit he was following wouldn't
work, and B) even if it did work, he was using the wrong piezo device
for that type of circuit.

Hi Bruce!

Didn't check my email for a while or I would have replied sooner.

It's a piezo audio transducer - Active Components ~ $1
Also attached find the mother of all chirper circuits.
It does quite a good job of imitating a song bird : mood changes with light
level.
Tested it with 74C14 but 74HC/HCT14 should also work.
Needs some fine tuning to make it perfect.
Next contest: best BEAM FX (special effects)?

enjoy
