I have made a couple of these boats, and they work really well. You
sometimes have to suck some water into the copper pipe to get it started
(Watch out for it 'popping' in your mouth!), but once it's going, there's no
stopping it!

driving an inductive load? (the motor), something to do with the current
rating (amp hr) of the battery..
btw.. i;m using the "normal" solarbotic's pager motors.

Hie so what bot are u building and what bot do u have right now...i would
really like to know where u got the solarbotics's pager motor as i would
want to buy several too....are u sure they are from namiki and can u send me
a ppicture of it first

thanks

The Difference between interest and committment
is that when you are interested in something, you
do it only when its convenient. When you are
committed to something, you accept only results,

5719 Sat, 14 Aug 1999 08:17:49 +0000 [alt-beam] Re: Lithium and pager motors beam@sgiblab.sgi.com Mark Lerman Lithium batteries, at least the 'coin cells' probably can't put out enough
current to drive the motor. One thing you can do is use a standard se and
use the coin cell instead of a solar cell. Use a current limiting resistor
is series with the lithium cell. The value of the resistor will control the
firing rate. I used this configuration in Dave';s Photopopper, making it a
VERY active bug.
