Simple, bench grinder, or a home made grinder made from an electric can
opener with the knife sharpener wheel on back.
Grab the weight with pliers and grind the weight's small side down. you
can also freze motors to make the metal contract and make it easier to
remove. I did that, and it worked (if you want to be safe, you might
want to wrap the motor (not the weight or shaft) with some sort of
insulating material, though I never did).
And most weights are not easy to remove in the first place! I'd say go
for it, At that price!!!

pliers (heatsink) and heat up the weight with a soldering iron or torch and when
hot , pry weight off with a screw driver.
