Wow!!! I'm impressed by the list!!! No flames! It's a nice change. I'm glad!

I was wrong. there are uses for the cap!!! Mag bots are a possibility,
since they use smaller caps. I completely forgot about those. Also, yes,
the cap may be ABLE to hold 330 volts, but that doesn't mean it has to
be CHARGED to 330 volts. If you gave it... say 12 volts, it'd charge
real close to 12 volts. you could use a smaller cap of course, but it'd
hold plenty of power with it's size. you could use any voltage UP TO
330, so yeah, I think it could be used. A nice Magbot with very powerful
movements would be a nice change from the little dinky twitching magbots
(no offense! I've seen excelent ones). If you got a higher voltage
panel, and made a circuit to handle it, then it might be able to do some
interesting stuff! good luck!

electro magnet and a Solar engine. I havn't built any myself, but common
magbots are "animated" insects such as a butterfly with flapping wings
(driven by the electromagnet). some have been made that actualy move or
hop along. There is plenty of things you can do, as long as you can
imagine them.

Okay, new to BEAM as I am, I am starting to build a photopopper. But, I
can't (and don't want to ) get the Solarbotics-kit. So I ordered the parts,
and I will make it myself (with a little help of course). There's one
problem: The electromotors. The Solarbotics Photopopper uses Namiki 1701's,
which are hard to get here in Holland. So if anyone knows where to get them
here in Holland, or what motors I could use as replacement. Please let me
know. If anyone could give me specs of the Namiki 1701's, would be great, so
I can find another electromotor.

Thanks,
Arno Jansen
