Subject: [alt-beam] Help! Photopopper problems
To anyone who can help,
I can not get my photopopper to work. I am building it according to the
tutorial on Chiu-Yuan Fang's website. Here are the parts I am using,
2, SC2422 Sunceram solar cells hooked up in parallel from Solarbotics
2, Siemens SFH 205f photo diodes from Solarbotics
2, 4700uF 6.3v capacitors from Solarbotics (the same they use in the
photopopper kit)
2, .22 uf capacitors from Solarbotics
2, 1381J's from Solarbotics
2, 2N3906's
2, 2N3904's
2, 2.2K resistors
1, 100k pot
2, pager motors (type unknown but they can be operated by the capacitors)
Any clues to what went wrong could be helpful. Thanks in advance.

well i think thats the problem then. i have wundered
why the bot seems to werk better when the battery has
lost most of its charge. I have concluded that it is
because there is not as much "slam" to the leg when it
makes contact with the floor, the springy response might
have been messing up feedback and thus pulse circulation.

tonight i am back to using 1/8 welding rod. (fer legs)
thing is... "terminal blocks" are not big enuff im gonna
try and EPOXY some nuts to the legs. not too mechanical,
but should werk. ...i'm open to suggestions!
THANX!
