Subject: [alt-beam] head weight
I just recently made a head, and it is having trouble turning its fat self
aroung. I'm using a pager motors with gears added on. It is using a PM1
solorengine and a 74hct biocore. Should I use a motor driver for more power
or a 74ac240 instead of a HCT? Aren't AC supposed to be better for driving a
motor directly? Is the pager motor the problem? Thanks for ya'lls help.

Hmm - the hct series has a much higher operating voltage than the
hc series, which may be a factor in your problem. What head design are
you using? Do you have a schematic you can show us? Most head designs
don't use separate motor drivers.
