Wow, thanks, the response to LEM is very flattering! I'm just very glad no one has
asked
me to tell how I came up with the design (I'll never admit anything).

One reccomendation based on watching LEM fling my photovores aside...
I highly reccomend you use compliant motor mounts. Any form of suspension at all
seems to make a good deal of difference in the performance of all BEAM designs from
single motor Symets to photovores.
I'm also interested in the idea of flexible couplings between the motor/driver
segments.
LEM has no such suspension, other than an experimental set of compliant rubber feet
made from Radio Shack toggle switch covers.
