I think at 4.8 volts it will still chirp; instead of CHIRP :-)

5387 Fri, 23 Jul 1999 14:37:00 -0400 Pager Motors for sale that may interest you ivar@flashmail.com oolong Dear Ivar Thorson,

I represent a company that is distributing pager motors of the type
that
are popular with those interested in miniature or BEAM robotics.

If you think that it is appropriate we would appreciate it if we
could
become one of the companies listed on your web page as a supplier of
these motors.

The motors we are distributing have the following general specs:

Diameter: 6mm
Length: 15mm
Rated voltage: 1.3V DC
Starting voltage: 0.7V DC
Rated current: 75mA
Max current: 130mA
Rated speed: 5,500rpm
Operating voltage range: 0.7V to 1.6V
Weight (approx.): 2.7g

Our price for each motor is $5.00 CDN (Canadian dollars) plus taxes
and
shipping.

These motors are supplied to us by a manufacturer in China and are
of
excellent quality at what we believe to be a very good price.

We will also be offering a large selection of solar cells in the
very
near future.

We do not yet have a web page established but we would welcome email
inquiries at the address below.

Perhaps I could ask if it is acceptable to forward this information
to
others in the BEAM RING or would that be inappropriate?

Sincerely,

Micheal G. Nash

yup, checked radio shack and found a few piezo's that run on as low as 3V.
guess it'l be a power draw on my servo though (in reverse mode)if i attach
grnd of chirp circuit to grnd of reverser cap.
