Ahhh, nope, not 'any' direct drive.
Given that 1 cm wide joints qualify as rather wide. What do you call deep?
My 'vores often scurry over loose piles of coins without much difficulty.
The secret to direct drive is torque and wheel diameter. If your using
pager
motors, give up. Direct drive is quite practical with better motors.
