Well, I prefer freeforming, which is a little easier to do when you have a
chip layout. I personally think if you want PCB layouts, you should design
them yourself. But, I also realize many people don't want to do that. All of
the different approaches are viable. Anything to get people interested is
good. If they develop and peruse more in-depth knowledge, so much the better.
