Subject: [alt-beam] inverter trouble
Hello all,
I have been having trouble with inverter failure on my HCT240E chips. They
seem to work fine until power falls to a certain level, then the inverters
seem to lock up. This problem has cropped up on two freeformed circuits so
far. I have many others, sitting there blinking away until the LEDs are to
dim to see. But these two fail very quickly, settling down to one side or the
other of the Bicore and remaining there until the cap is drained. The ones
that work are built exactly like the ones that don't. Anyone know what is
going on. Did I fry the chip? To much flux? Is it Tilden's revenge for one to
many negative opinions? Anyone had this problem? Very frustrating.
