Subject: [alt-beam] Anyone tried those motors from All Electronics?
Hi there,
Has anyone has tried out those small motors that All Electronics sells?
The body is .49" in diameter with only a .2" long shaft. I'm wondering if
this is long enough of a shaft for use in photopopers...It seems that the
motor would have to be on a steep incline for the shaft to make contact with
the floor. Using pythagorean thm and a little trig the motor would be at a
49 degree angle to the surface. The math is below in case you're
wondering... Anyone? I'd like to know before I go spending my money on these
little suckers.
Thanks a lot.

The diameter is .46" so we take half that to one leg. This would be .23".
Knowing this and the length of the other leg we can find the hypotenuse
using pythagorean's thm.(a^2 + b^2 = c^2) wihch ends up being .3048". Then
use
some trig to find the angle of incline needed.
