Subject: [alt-beam] Photopopper problems


Hi List,

I finished my first photovore yesterday, and, despite the quite ugly freeformed
mess underneath, the circuit, at least, works just fine. I'm using the
photopopper circuit off BEAM online (Thanks Ian!) with solarbotics' motors and
about 5000uF worth of capacitors. I striped some funny hard rubber things from
cassette players, that I thought would make great wheels, but the problem I'm
having is that they only turn when not touching the ground (not overly useful,
this ). I guess this is either a weight or friction problem, and wanted to
get list input before I tore off the wheels or started hacking into the freeform
jungle.
