"Sintra" is actually a trade name - though most in the industry
will recognize that name and know what you're talking about. The
'technical' term is Expanded PVC.

I got my supply at a plastics place (custom molding, etc) though
you could try a sign place as well.

Cost me 50$ CDN for an 8x4 foot sheet of 1/4 inch. (I think the
1/8th would be better for most robot stuff, though)
