Subject: [alt-beam] alt. power source for a photovore
hi there... erm.. i was tinkering around with some parts i had in hand, and
i found that if a FLED (red / yellow) was connected in parallel with a cap,
(2200uF and above) i would get a waveform that resembles one produced from
a solar engine.
the cap will charge till its ard 2.7V- 3.1V, then it will discharge itself
before repeating the charging and discharging process.
would this be usable as an alternative power source for a photovore, say,
when the bot is caught in a "low light" situation, this cap/fled circuit
kicks in and provides the bot with power to continue its search for light
do comment :)
