if you look at the photpopper circuit solarbotics uses either the anode
or cathode goes into the trim pot, I am not sure which one it is,
however I do know that when I make this circuit I connected the side of
the photodiode that has the mark to the trim pot, so just check that
circuit, find out which one connects to the trim pot, and that will be
what teh mark is.
(sorry if confusing, but i am too lazy to check)
