Now there's the first one that really starts thinking. :0)
No offence to others!
Yes a monopole isn't possible. If you could succeed to created one you will
be rich, famous, well respected ect. ect.
To get back to the proposed forcefield setup.
The builder wants to setup a area with on its sides a magnetic barrier. In
this area there will be a robot with one or more magnets on it. If the robot
comes to close to the edge then the force field will fire and the robot will
be pushed back.
So with magnetic pole will be facing inwards , North or South?
Say one wall will have North facing inwards. Then the magnet on the robot
need to be a North pole to. A normal magnet will have a South pole too so
the robot will just be tossed around in such way that the South pole are
directed to the magnetic lines of the force field. The let this idea
function in all situations you need a monopole magnet attached to the robot.
Remark: Monopoles are an item considered to exists in a quantum inviroment.
