Subject: [alt-beam] Counting RPM(Gearmotors)
Hie , i thought of this way in counting ROM for a gearmotor,...i used a
analog stop watch qhich is quite old and are all made from brasss gears and
springs....i can get them for free here(if anyone wants them mail me, i will
send it for free) i attach the output shaft of the motor to the inner gear
that controls the timer (example when the motor turn once the timer is set
to 1 second) this is maybe good for gearmotors as in at the range of 1 to
200 i think cause normal motors have a few thousand RPM and which a timer ,
like a clock dont have anough number to count them.I thought of Ians way of
counting that is using two AA and a stopwatch but the thing is how did u
know when the motor turn a completer circle ,even if u marked it , it will
still be so small..well who ever has better and way simpler ideas which is
reliable, please let me know
jason
