Subject: [alt-beam] SAL (amander) & my bot building style & Spyder

I like the robot! It is nice and thin! Very long, and it reminds me
somehow of a SALamander. You should consider the name! Hehe! :)

It's weird, all my own robots look alike!!! Very Tall, narrow, very
similar leg design, PCBs as frame work, or often mounted by fairly
flexible wires, Nv Inside logos! Hehe! (:

Seriously, most of my walking robots, you can TELL I made them.

I've noticed tis in Chiu's bot's too. The one's I've seen pictured on
his page appear very similar. I think people tend to learn a style of
building and stick with it. Just look at my page and look at Walkman Jr,
Bronco, MECI IV M, and soon, even Spyder. Even Spyder, though very
diferent, relies on the same wire mounted PCBs and tall appearance.
Megavore is the epitomy of tall, considering that it is a 3-3/4 inch
tall photovore! Hehe! (:

One last note, Spyder is going to be blue! All the PCBs are made of BLUE
material! Hehe! It is soo cool looking. The Nv boards are attached in a
"T" arrangement and those are mounted on a triange frame sitting on a
pair of arc shaped wires that mount on to the large H-Bridge board. I am
also including a jumper block to configure the signals to the motors,
and will some day mount it on a head (or mount a head on it). The head
will opperate a set of MUX's which will rotate the signals to the legs
(so it would be able to walk in 3-4 directions depending on how far the
head is turned and what position it is facing.

In the further future, I may have it stop, look around, and then walk.
