Well if you want this kind of motion 3 seconds running, 1/2 second
charging for any robot your going to have to use some very good motors
weather it's BEAM or microprocessor!
I would be cheaper to go out and buy 2 surplus escaps than 1 basic stamp
II and you still need motors. Just that part would cause the computer
contolled bot to be twice as expensive.

A simple alternative is just to use cheaper motors but then you don't get
nearly as much motion per charge time.
