Actually, I don't recall it ever walking. Just rolling, then stopping on
tripod legs and firing.

If *I've* seen similar creatures on the "Discovery Channel", I'm sure Mr.
Lucas has seen them too. He doesn't strike me as anything but a well-read
man, considering how many moral concepts, fables, religious storylines, and
Asian mythologies he's managed to merge into Star Wars.

You criticize his rolling heavybots as a knock off of Escher's rolling
creatures & nature's "Pillbugs". Ummm, last time I looked, these are not
robots (or illustrated as such). His concept of a rolling robot that
unfolds into an upright, heavily armored, well-gunned robot is like NOTHING
else I've seen or heard of.

If you can't recognize the genius of his imagination, and his skill in
rendering it, well.... "Oh give me a break!"

"Um, no - that's H,R,Y,N,K,I,W. No, not K,I,U,U, K,I,_W_. Yes,
that's right. Yes, I know it looks like "HOCKYRINK." Yup, only
2 vowels. Pronounciation? _SMITH_".
