It will but with the kind of range you would wan't You may gat about 5 to
10cm, if that. If you wan't a long range underwater sensor try ultra sound.
They don't use sonar on sub's/ships because it makes a cool noise you know
;-)
Anyhoo, try out a parking radar of a car. You know the types that bleep when
you get close the lamp post your about to reverse into?
