All SEs which are based on the well-known 2-transistor latch/driver
combination are rather prone to oscillation. In many cases it
happens after every trigger pulse, no matter what kind of motor is
used. At low light levels the oscillation tends to damp out, but
if the sun is bright enough, it will persist and prevent recharge.
This problem tends to be most severe when a capacitor across the
motor turns it into a resonator.

Removing the cap will often help.

All SunEaters, especially nrs. II-V are immune. Separating the
latch and driver stages is the key to solving many problems.
