There is also a similar 'tilt' style switch available from Oatley
Electronics ( www.oatleyelectronics.com ) for AUD$1.50 Ea. These look like
the old style metal IC cases (or a metal can type transistor) with one
centre leg (the common lead) and around it in a circle 8 legs for 'angle of
tilt' output. I have purchased some and have played with them a little.
Apparently there is a small dimpled 'ball' that rolls about inside the case
to make contact between the pins. Not very accurate, but good for rough
input ie an anti-tip over system for a walker perhaps, rather than a
stall/angle of incline sensor.
