Um, yes, that is an assumption. Mark needn't report everything he has
discovered /
developed no matter how much we might desire it. Period.

For example, he -has- built a version of the Rubik's Brain but he has
neither released
technical details (a topologically correct schematic using the Lexicon, for
example)
nor any observations about the device. And, chances are, he doesn't have
to if he
doesn't wish to / doesn't have the time / doesn't feel that it has been
sufficiently
developed / doesn't want to be bothered by ten jillion questions about what
direction
the resistors ought to be inserted...

That said, IMNSHO I judge that BEAM technology would progress far more quickly
if he would release his pearls much more frequently, even if he needed
someone /
some group to act as a buffer between him and the world...

...and not count on someday producing a book.
