Hey everyone,
You have to love Link Telecommunications, I initially contacte=
d them about broken pagers about a month ago, They said they had a heap of =
busted 1's they didn't want and I could come down and get them, they are 2 =
blocks away from my work. I went down and got 20 busted pagers, retrieved=
17 good motors and some other cool stuff, 1 pager (minus motor) is now my =
wake up alarm. =

Yesterday, I gave them another call and went down. I gave them=
a spider I made. (a copy of zero's, you can see it on his site). In retur=
n I got about another 40 busted pagers and 2 busted mobiles, I fixed 1 mob=
ile, an ericsson 388 from my ericsson 318 in about 10 Min. Now I have a ne=
w and improved phone };-) Anyone ever opened a mobile They have the smal=
lest surface mount components I have ever seen! =

I can now strip a motor out of a pager in under 2 minutes, I h=
ave now got 47 pager motors, almost all Nakimi. Including 4 flat 1's about=
5/8 inch round and about 1/8 inch high, 2 contacts. When attached to a 1.=
5v battery they vibrate like crazy, anyone come across them before? Are =
they much use except for bots that move by vibrating. =

Anyway, I now have enough motors to last me a long long time, i=
f I ever run out, I have only taken about 1/3 of Links busted stuff. Ther=
e is heaps more there. You have to love today's disposable age, for them =
it is cheaper to replace a pager then to pay someone to fix it. I serious=
ly recommend that anyone looking for components, get on the phone and call =
up companies like Link. =

My brother turned up last night with a busted TV and 2 busted t=
ape decks last night (he got them of 1 of his mates), The TV had a 3/4 of =
an inch wide hole burnt right through the circuit board. Dunno what caused =
it. It looked like a sealed inductor? that was badly damaged, or the trans=
former that was right next to the hole.

Oh, any Australian Beamers want to buy "As New" Nakimi pager motors?

Cya later =
