Yes, the kit was a good idea, and you should have it up and running in no time.
As your next project, I suggest either buying the Photopopper 4.2b kit from
Solarbotics or freeforming a photovore using Chiu's tutorial, at
http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/6897/photovore.html. What you decide to do
depends on your electronics experience, your financial situation, and how
confident you are in your building ability. If you don't have much experience
with electronics, buy the kit - you'll gain more ability and confidence and
you'll learn how a photovore works. On the other hand, if you have lots of
experience soldering and building electronic gadgets, or you can't afford the kit
($60), then you might want to start with a freeformed bot.
