If you stack driver boards you can enable the "normal" board and the enable
going to the "reverse" board will be fed through an inverter which makes the
"reverse" 74xx245 high impedance state.

When the reverse switch is triggered, the enables toggle and the "reverse" board
is enabled and the "normal" board is in a high impedance state.

I'm not sure if that is what is going on but that's my interpretation of the
comment. Make sense?
