Ian's right. A FLEDSE won't work with a Bicore. The reason why is kinda
complicated, but it has to do with the types of load that the standard SE
will work with. a Bicore isn't an inductive load. The SE works with motors
and coils, but not with a Bicore. You can try it if you don't belive us, but
a larger cap and different resistor won't change this. It's not an
exclusionary answer at all, it's been discused at great length before. Keep
in mind the age of some BEAM technologies. The FLEDSE is five (?) something
years old. Much discusion about things like the FLEDSE or the Zener Diode SE
or the Happy birthday singer SE have long since come and gone. And while it
may be possible to modify the FLEDSE to work, it would take enough
modification that it wouldn't a) be worth it (most likely, considering other
techs) b) be a FLEDSE anymore.
