Well, yeah, but... that is sort of a rare item, isn't it? I guess I should
have pointed
out that free-forming followed by "potting" (putting the circuit into a
mold and then
filling the mold with something like silicone glue or resin epoxy) is a
long and
revered tradition. I've got a book at home on transistor projects -- back when
you bought one or two transistors at a time -- that involved this
process for
most of its "miniaturized" circuits (for miniature, read "about as small as
a very
healthy mouse".) With the rubbery kind of potting compound you can indeed
make circuits that are exceptionally tough.

However, given that a lot of the free-formed circuits are fairly ugly (and
thus have
no recourse to the "E" part of BEAM) and are apparently so constructed so as
to reduce weight, I don't think that filling the space with epoxy or
something, um,
"fits the mold".
